Is it ok to use a window air conditioner without a window? or will it over heat?
i live in the attic part of the house which has no windows, and it is BLAZING up here. i have an air conditioner that you would need to put out a window, but the thing is..i don't have a window..
do u believe its still ok to just plug it in and use it? or will it burn down the house ?
Answer:
Window units blow cold air out the front and hot air out the back. If you have no way to vent the hot air, it is useless.
You will have water all over the floor! A/C leaks water while they are cooling. Try to buy a portable A/C from Walmart, Target, K-Mart....
It won't burn down the house but it cool it either.
The cold air that blows out the front will be canceled out by the hot air that blows out the back.
It must be vented to cool the room. There are windowless units available but they still need to be vented.
