How to build window air conditioner wooden support base Options

Question:
I am planning to build a wooden support base for a window air conditioner.
The window is aluminum slide from right to left.
This window is second story bedroom.
There is a small 3 inch ledge in the inside of the window.
I am looking at the Sears small window air conditioner (around 5000btu).
Is there any ready made window support (adjustable) for this kind of air conditioner?

Answer:
You didn't say which kind of air conditioner you are planning on purchasing, a regular, horizontal type or one specifically designed for that type of window.
In either case, the air conditioner mounting bracket shown at the link below should work for either type. Just the other mounting will be tricky if you're planning on installing a *regular* air conditioner into that type of window

The easiest to install will be one designed for that type of window. There are a couple of models that can be used in either a double hung, through the wall or in a side sliding window .
No unfortunately not too many actual pictures are available, however, the dealer linked to from that page has a very good return policy should you find it not useful in your case. In most mounting brackets, they get screwed to the window frame then just rest against the wall on the outside.
