Question:
I'm scheduled to teach HVAC my first time. Can someone let me know of
good texts for seniors.
Answer:
I would recommend Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology over Modern
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. It is published by Delmar Publishers.
REFRIGERATION AND AIR-CONDITIONING TECHNOLOGY,3RD ED, Whitman and
Johnson, 1995, Delmar Publishers Inc., ISBN# 0-8273-5646-3.
I think there is a 4th edition out now----good book for teaching basics----like
most texts, needs to be supplemented if you really want to get down to the
nitty gritty technician level. Another good text is published by Prentice Hall
and comes from ARI. It gets a little deeper into the technical nitty gritty
but the big fault with it is they use way to many illustrations and way to few
photographs.
If you are wanting to teach an HVAC engineering course, neither one is
probabally what you are looking for, but the ARI text put out by Prentice Hall
would come closer.
