Does anyone have any experience with Maytag room air conditioners?
Can anyone recommend a brand ?

My gut feeling over the last couple of years is to avoid this new trend
of the ones with electronic controls,remote controls,and LED displays,they
seem to be a bunch less reliable than the ones with mechanical switches and
knobs.
Then again it sure looks to me like there are damn few of the "knob"
type out there on the sales floors anymore.
The appliance manufacturers go to great lengths everyday to pimp this
electronic control business.All I see is dollar signs from all the circuit
boards and control panels with their integrated touchpads we see and replace
everyday.Repair jobs regularly involve over 400$ worth of parts.
I am just not buying the propaganda that the electronic controls are
better.But it probably doesnt matter as the market is fast eliminating
the machines with electro-mechanical controls,
