Home Air conditioning system rip off?
I paid for a 14 Seer heat pump/condenser (outside unit) and a 13 Seer variable speed air handler to replace my old 10 Seer units. I am using the same number of KW hrs/day, and I found out the outside unit is only rated at 13 Seer. Carrier says the combination of these two units is equal to a 15 Seer system. Can 2+2=5 in AC?THe contractor also disconnected my hot water recovery system , said it wouldn't work with the new PR410 refrigerant.
Carrier just refer me back to the installer if I press for more info.

I used to work for a Carrier dealer in Ohio as the CSR, trust me those sales people will tell you anything to sell it. As long as it works, you can't do anything. But just keep calling in service on your warrenty, tell them anything to get them out there. Make them work for it. those s
