I just had a new heating+air conditioning unit installed and old sheet metal ducts extreme condensation noted?
what besides trying to insulate which I have now found to be impossible (ducts tight into basement ceiling) What is available and what kind of responsibilty does the company have for this new problem.
Answer:
Short of replacing the ducts there isn't much you can do.
If the company did not contract to replace the ducts then they bear no responsibility.
You might look into having the ducts sprayed with foam insulation. Check with your local insulation contractor.
