Question:
Any one here have any experience with Carrier Air V rooftop AC
units. My 10yr old Coleman had worn out and my service shop is
recommending the Carrier over the Coleman. They are similar in
price but the Carrier does have some nice features. I know
Carrier has far more experience in AC and refridgeration systems
than Coleman but in this RV market they are the new player.
Carrier is also offering a 3 year warranty to Coleman's 90days.
Any thoughts, any one else own one, experiences positive or
negative?
Answer:
No mention of Transicold or Carrier
in their warranty info. Not saying they definitely DON'T
have anything to do with Carrier but they sure hide it
well if they do! Wonder if this is a "Coleman" type deal,
Coleman has apparently nothing to do with the company that
bought their name to use on RV air conditioners.
The opening page carries the Carrier logo in the
upper left corner. The first three paragraphs under
the "feature tour" are: AirV high performance, aerodynamic,
rooftop air conditioning has a lot going for it.
Carrier AirV air conditioning is manufactured by Carrier,
the most trusted name in home air conditioning worldwide.
AirV can be ordered on new RVs or as a drop-in replacement
of existing air conditioning units.
