wanted - marine air conditioner

Question:
I'm getting ready for warm weather in KY - got to be an optimist! I need a replacement for my marine air unit. Old unit was 16k btu and was okay, could take more. I haven't found a web site to browse, any leads?

Answer:
I recently installed two split 16k btu units in our boat. I knew how air conditioning worked, but did not have experience in marine units. I ran across Rich Beers completely by accident and I informed him of my needs. He and Rob are very helpful to the owner installer and the prices are very competitive. The air units have been installed over one year and get used almost everyday. You can peruse their website at: http://www.technicold.com/ . If you are really handy, there is a place in
CA called RParts. Their prices are definitely competitive and the one item
I ordered showed up priority mail. Be sure to ask how much shipping is though. Their last know web address was: http://www.rparts.com/ , but a check just now failed to go thru.
