Repair air conditioner leak...?

Question:
Have a leak in side of air conditioner condenser, where hose has been rubbing....

Was wondering is anyone has tried, or knows of a way, to repair a leak in condenser...was think of something like epoxy ?.

Answer:
I don't know why epoxy wouldn't work; the pressures and temperatures aren't actually extreme, the flexing is minimal and I presume the hole is no larger than a nail hole.

I'd have a few recommendations: clean well, but don't use anything that will introduce *any* grit into the system. When the hole was formed, the pressure inside blew debris outward. Oil will be your main enemy. It might be better to use a dab of epoxy to close the hole, then spray the surrounding area down with brake cleaner. If necessary, scrape away any loose material and spray again. Apply a second layer of epoxy to the entire worn area. J B Weld is probably a good choice; it isn't brittle and has very good adhesion to metal.
