Question:
Just received quote on Allegiance 14 air conditioner (7A4030A100A)
from a local dealer. Dealer quoted a variable speed air handler with
part number TWE037E13FA, which is different from part number shown on
the American Standard web site which is TWE037E130A.
Which is the correct part number?
Answer:
Sounds like a typo. The usual nomenclature for A-S air handlers is
3 numbers followed by a letter as the web site showed.
Chuck both of these are variable speed air-handlers, the '13FA' is what they
call their 'air-tite' model it has
better seals around the covers and more insulation inside of the cabinet.
This is especially good if it is going
into an attic. You will be pleased with this air handler I have installed
about a dozen of them, everyone is very
pleased with them. I have to ask why are you not using a heat-pump condenser
with this, looks like you are all
electric. These air handlers work excellent with heat pump
