Looking for a portable 240V air cooler which can be moved
from room to room. Prefer the non-evaporative type. Living
in a rental house an fans just don't seem to be the
solution... In Perth area only.

only semi portable air cons are those ones you put into windows or
walls... meaning you have to transport them from window to window
carefuly!.... you cannot get a unit that just sits on a bench and cools the
air... well cools the air but also makes over air hotter = no cooling
overall at all
best bet is a small window mounted unit. small room looking at about a
400Watt unit. ring some auction places. they sometimes have old small units
like this... new they are about $300-$500
